There are few things nicer than being asked to shoot in your home city. Edinburgh has a charm that is hard to define. It would be easy to say that it’s a visually beautiful city with its castle, palace, parliament and host of rich architecture. But it is it’s undulations, it’s curves, it’s peeks and troughs upon which the city lays that splits it’s personality and leads to it’s diversity. It’s people are serious without being sullen and the town has a self cautious undercurrent meaning you pretty much get left too get on with it.

SWG3 recently renovated their photography studio and hosted a launch party. We were asked to do a live photoshoot at the event, shooting tethered to Capture One enabled us to display the photographs in real time via a projector

In November, Kayleigh Innes, a media student at Stirling University got in touch with us about the possibility of doing work experience. We were more than happy to oblige and Kayleigh got to work with us on a whole bundle of different shoots.
I am a media student in Stirling. I had to do a work experience placement as part of my degree and as I have an interest in film and photography, one of my lecturers put me in touch with his former student, Hamish Cambell. He promised me that Hamish was very lovely and extremely talented. He assured me that I’d learn a lot from him, and I did!

This month we had the some fun with a tribe of models from the Model Team agency. This year we talked the agency into shooting a Winter Campaign along side their yearly Holiday Card. With some help from agency stylist Ian Tod, and teams from Rainbow Rooms International (of BBC fame) and The Make Up Academy we shot 45 models in all. Here are some of the images from the shoot.

This collaboration with KRISTIAN LABAK Creative Director @ Teviot Creative Agency was a whole lot of fun.
The brief: Shoot flexible images for a client introduction book, agency website and app. These should show clients not only the staffs faces but some of their personality and interests using imagery. These portraits will be accompanied by Teviot’s ‘Three Little Words’ to simply describe their purpose and core principles.

Back in May, we packed up and headed off to Manchester to shoot the staff at Carlson Rezidor’s Radisson Blu Hotel with TEVIOT Creative Agency. The two day trip let us capture the staff of the hotel for new promotional material and recruitment collateral. These 5 images were taken in the hotel’s rooftop executive lounge.
